Are you a blogger? Looking for a method to monetize your blog. Adsense, no doubt, is the best choice. It is the most highly paying network which support all the countries, payout to all the countries and is risk free.
Adsense has minimum $100 or equivalent payout limit which means that you can’t get paid unless you have earned at-least $100. You can get paid via PayPal, Payoneer, Bank Account, Western Union are there are some other options available based on your country.
Eligibility Criteria:
Anyone with potential traffic and a good standing website can apply for the program but when it come to approval, Google is a miser. They allow only a few websites to join their program. It is officially mentioned that for some countries the website should be at-least 6 months old but that is not the case.
Adsense Approval Factors:
Here is the list of 5 factors that you should take in account while applying for adsense. This will not ensure the approval but surely will increase the chances of adsense approval.
1. Article Count
When it comes to article count, you website should have at-least 25-30 well written, unique and plagiarism free articles. Article length should be 500 words at minimum but you can extend it to 5000 words if possible.
Google loves content websites. Don’t forget to add related photos, videos or any other supporting content in your article.
Don’t copy articles from other websites. Google hates copy content.
2. Traffic
Traffic doesn’t matter that much. But if you have 50 hits/day that can help. I have seen websites with 1000/day traffic being rejected and websites with zero traffic getting adsense approval.
3. Must have Pages
Google have made compulsory for all the applicants that the website should have there pages:
- About Us
- Contact
- Privacy
- Terms & Conditions/Disclaimer
If you can’t write privacy or disclaimer page content you can use a free tool to generate privacy policy for your website.
Without these pages your website wouldn’t be approved and so to increase your chances of adsense approval you should add these pages in your main menu or footer menu so they are visible to every visitor.
4. Google Webmaster
To tell Google that your website is legit and you are serious about your website you should add it to google webmaster and submit a sitemap as well.
Google webmaster is a free tool that allows you to monitor your site health, ranking and search related issues effectively. If you have added your website in webmaster and have submitted a sitemap chances are that you will get adsense approval.
Here is a quick guide on how to add your website in Webmaster and submit a sitemap.
5. Google Analytics
Google Analytics is also a free tool that allows you to monitor your site traffic. Where the traffic is coming from, which pages users are preferring, how much time they are spending on your website and so much more. Having Google Analytics for your website is a plus even if you don’t want to apply for adsense.
Google analytics is not compulsory but those sites who have google analytics tracking code in their website gets approved mostly. This is my personal experience. The same site got rejected when it was not submitted in webmaster and analytics but as soon as I used these two free platforms my website got approved.
Bonus Point:
Though this is not compulsory but I would recommend that you organize your website in a proper manner. Have proper home page, navigation menus and spam free content. This will boost your chances of success.
